Sourcing responsibility

We handcraft our designs to last a lifetime, and this begins with making sure our materials are responsibly sourced. From sofa frames to dining designs, 17 of our ranges contain 75%+ sustainably sourced wood with a further 4 ranges handmade from 100% certified FSC oak, reducing our environmental impact on the world around us.

We’re committed to working with brands who align with our core values. Our recent partnership with award-winning, Royal Warrant holders Hypnos saw the creation of three sustainably designed mattresses, each made with fibres certified by the Global Recycled Standard and sourced from Red Tractor assured farms.

We’re serious about shaping each part of our company to be as responsible as it can be. To help put the good in goodbye, we offer a service to take away your old sofa and recycle it for you to make way for your brand-new design.

Our materials

We are proud to work with European mills and suppliers who implement sustainable practices. Our Vermeer Linen, Impressionist Tweed, House Herringbone Weave and House Basket Weave fabric ranges all contain recycled or sustainable types of fibre. What’s more, our leather is a biproduct from the meat industry and our feathers are 70% recycled, meaning little wastage of the planet’s resources
